Responsibilities: As a Lead Systems Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Lead a team of talented, and experienced IT Engineers on new and ongoing IT projects
- Engage in hands-on technical work alongside the engineering team
- Perform direct technical troubleshooting and problem resolution in IT systems and infrastructure
- Coordinate with Information Assurance, Service Desk, and Software Development teams to ensure continuous operations
- Ensure continuous integration and deployment of software updates
- Oversee day-to-day operations supporting the customer’s acquisition support mission
- Manage personnel development and complete performance appraisals of AMERICAN SYSTEMS employees
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT II level certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- More than 10 years of technical experience supporting IT operations (IT systems, IT networks, and software development)
- More than 5 years of technical experience supporting Information Assurance/Cybersecurity
- Management/Leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience communicating with senior level customers
- Strong working knowledge of virtual computing including VMware and Cloud computing
- Strong understanding of computer networking, perimeter protection, and information security
Technical understanding of the following:
- VMware infrastructure
- Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix
- Networking
- Storage systems
- Cloud technologies

Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,600.00/Yr. – USD $232,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
