Job description: Converge Resources is actively seeking a 100% remote Substation Designer for a leading Engineering & Consulting Firm in the Power/Utilities sector.The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing power delivery systems, with experience leading large, complex projects. Candidates should be proficient in industry-standard design practices, codes, and regulations, and possess strong project management skills, ensuring designs meet client needs, quality standards, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of experience designing power delivery systems. A college degree in electrical engineering, design, or a related discipline is preferred, but not required.
- Proven track record of successfully executing large and complex power delivery projects, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of industry-standard design practices, codes, and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Passionate about design excellence, with a focus on detail and quality assurance in every deliverable.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for complex power delivery projects, ensuring all solutions meet client needs, quality standards, and project goals.
- Prepare and review detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and feasibility.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, such as scoping documents, design inputs, quality checklists, and project filing systems.
- Oversee the scope and quality review processes, ensuring designs align with client specifications and high-quality standards.
- Proactively monitor and resolve technical issues or challenges throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
