Renewance services include battery asset management, field service, warranty management, asset end of life management through recycling and 2nd life application placement.Renewance is seeking a Electrical Field Service Technician with a C10 License. The Renewance Electrical Field Service Technician will provide customers with technical support for industrial batteries and electrical systems used in stationary energy storage systems, including hands on installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of batteries and associated systems. The Electrical Field Service Technician must be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the product life. You will oversee specialty electrical work to ensure it meets or exceeds standards set in applicable state regulations and company work orders. At times, you may also oversee a team working on these projects.This is a full time, non exempt position with a pay range based on national average between $30.00 and $40.00 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime, per diem, and will receive full health benefits. You’re also eligible for company paid life and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k).Responsibilities:
- Install and commission battery energy storage systems and related products.
- Install and configure controls-related firmware necessary to communicate with and control the battery system.
- Support ‘cold’ commissioning (electrical checks using auxiliary power) and ‘hot’ commissioning of battery systems (energized electrical checks) and correct battery related performance issues including performing cell and module charging/balancing.
- Provide technical support for fault isolation and troubleshooting during all phases of commissioning.
- Communicate directly with the customer on all aspects of project execution including accurate and timely daily reporting.
- Coordinate return and repair of defective parts in support of warranty claims.
- Lead and oversee specialty electrical work, and lead teams as needed.
- Travel to and remain at assigned jobsites until assigned tasks are completed.
- Manage field tools for field assignments / projects.
- Ensure excellence in all operational areas.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years relevant Journeyman electrical experience in commercial, industrial or specialized electrical space and possess related safety certifications.
- A valid C-10 electrical license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively work as an individual but also coordinate and work with a team.
- Fast learner and capable of executing multiple projects and objectives.
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks per commitment.
- Self-directed, highly detail-oriented, organized, and flexible.
- Accomplishments that reflect leadership, teamwork, integrity, and accountability.
- Willingness to travel and work with customers.
Desirable
- California General Contractors license or eligibility to take the GC exam (paid for by Renewance)
- Hazardous Substance Removal (HAZ) and Remedial Actions Certification.
- Knowledge of battery standards, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Experience working with HVAC systems, an EPA 608 certification, or experience with power conversion systems, or switchgear.
- Demonstrated accomplishments in meeting project/program goals, while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and cost requirements.
- Project and people management experience.
Travel, Location, and Training
- Preferred that candidates live in Central or Southern California, though other locations will be considered if the candidate meets license and certification requirements. Requires 75% or more travel to customer sites.
