Job description: Outlaw Graphix is looking for a Student/Entry Level Graphic Designer to join our team. You will be training and working underneath our Senior and Jr Graphic Designers to assist in producing graphic design services such as but not limited to signage layouts, business card layouts, Vehicle Graphics, and t-shirt designs. Outlaw Graphix is a large format printer specializing in Vehicle Wraps and company branding. The position is not limited to computer design but will include production assistant work as well. We are looking for someone who is willing to be versatile and flexible in multiple areas within the business such as being trained in weeding, trimming, printing, and laminating. Additionally, the position requires a clean driving record as deliveries and pickups in a company-provided vehicle will be required.The ideal person for this position has at least 1 year experience in working as a graphic designer assistant and or is actively enrolled in a graphic design college classes. Experience working in a Sign Shop is a plus. Basic knowledge of Adobe illustrator and Photoshop is required and will be tested at time of interview. Additionally, an excellent design sense, an eye for detail, and an artistic background with the ability to coordinate color, imagination, and electronic messaging into different environments.Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute client vision– Assist Jr and Senior Designers as needed with ongoing client projects by creating original visual designs that communicate the desired intentions in a visually appealing, creative, and unified way. Consult with team members as needed and revise projects when necessary based on feedback. Coordinate all production requirements and provide final approval notifications to Jr and Senior levels.
- Design and detail – Design and select graphics, clip art, and photography as needed. Choose fonts for written copy and manufacturer samples of layouts for approval by Jr and Senior levels. Prepare samples for the client and appropriate staff for review.
- Print Production Assistant – Assist Senior production manager with loading materials onto machines (must be able to lift 50lbs) Laminating, weeding, and trimming vinyl prints. Packaging orders, making local deliveries, and/or picking up materials from local vendors. A Clean Driving record is required.
Requirements:
- 1 year experience working and or currently enrolled in college graphic design courses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic Knowledge of Adobe illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to work independently on an assignment and as a member of a team
- Comfortable with Mac OS computer systems
