Job description: Selectek is looking for a Controls Engineer to be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning control and automation systems.Required
- 7+ years of controls engineering experience
- Familiar with common US and International Codes such as NEC, UL508A, and NFPA
- Experience with equipment specifications
- Experience in developing new concepts and cost-effective solution
Preferred
- Program and troubleshoot automated equipment using Rockwell Automation software
- Develop control panel and control system schematics utilizing safety circuits, PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, robotics, automation networks, HMIs, etc. using AutoCAD Electrical software
- Create and maintain BOMs and engineering changes associated with projects and resolve and job specification differences
- Review specifications and standard practices inclusive of the internal hardwired and logic standards, general specifications, and scope of work
- Control system upgrades of existing equipment and integration of new/existing equipment
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant codes and with proper documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve processes, efficiency, quality, and service
- Work closely with vendors in identifying appropriate equipment necessary for the project
Job order details: The client is looking for a Controls Engineer with a background of Allen Bradley RS Logix to come in and help with programming of new equipment for a large project. This project would be about two months with very little travel. The candidate would need experience in programming from scratch, panel design (AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical), and HMI programming.Sponsorship: No
Pay range: $66/hour – $93/hour
Job duration: Contract only – 2 months
Location of job: Cokato, MN
Hours and shift: 8AM 5PM CST, Monday to Friday
Work from home/remote: No depending on location, could be eligible for per diem
Overtime expected: No
Travel: Little to no travel
Work attire: Business Casual
