The Business Analyst is responsible to gather, analyze, and document software requirements, ensuring alignment between the development team and client expectations. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions align with business objectives and deliver value.Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the application lifecycle working with product owners in the creation and refinement of epics, backlog, stories, sizing, and prioritization of stories.
- Produces functional design documents and maintains requirement traceability.
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements for software projects through interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing systems and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Create detailed user stories, process flows, and system diagrams.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure that solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time.
- Develop use cases, process flows, and other documentation to support project delivery.
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure quality and functionality of IT solutions.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
- Ensure all requirements meet federal regulations and compliance standards.
- Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects supporting Federal Agencies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience project management methodologies and Agile frameworks
- US Citizenship and ability to have a successful Public Trust investigation.
- Must live a commutable distance from client offices in Washington, DC.
Preferred Qualifications:
- US Military Veteran
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Analysis Certification (AAC) or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- ITIL v4 Foundations
