Based in California, the Director of Development will spearhead efforts to expand fundraising initiatives, secure strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth to support the organization’s mission. - Lead and execute fundraising strategies and initiatives to support key organizational programs
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and foundations
- Oversee grant writing and reporting processes to secure funding and maintain relationships
- Develop and manage budgets for fundraising campaigns and events
- Work closely with the executive team to develop long-term revenue strategies
- Engage with local and regional communities to build awareness and support for the mission
Director of Development Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, preferably in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and securing major gifts
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships at all levels
- Experience with grant writing, donor relations, and event planning
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of the disability services space is a plus, but not required
