- Install and maintain electrical systems, components, and related equipment according to quality and safety codes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot motor and control systems in a variety of industrial and commercial applications
- Install raceway and cable tray systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to resolve issues
- Install, program, and mount VFDs, soft starts, transformers and motors, and panelboards
- Pull and run wire, conduit, and other materials in various sizes
- Terminate motors and transformers
- Utilize threaders, big pipe benders, and tuggers as needed
Qualifications:
*Qualifications will vary, depending upon the level of experience the technician possesses*
- Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- The expected abilities of the technician will increase as they gain experience
- Ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
- Able to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
- Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
