Job description: DescriptionDepending on your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package.WORK LOCATION: This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent on site and working remote from home.This is a senior design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Electrical Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
- Lead Electrical design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
- Responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses and engineering reports
- Prepare design inputs for drawing production including electrical site plans, power and lighting plans, one-line diagrams, assembly drawings, conduit and wire run schedules, wiring diagrams, elementary diagrams
- Apply electrical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components
- Produce procurement specifications and construction specifications
- Attend project meetings and perform field walkdowns
- Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers
QualificationsMust be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.Essential skills and experience:
- BSEE or MSEE degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Five or more years of progressive responsible experience in electrical engineering in a nuclear environment
- Experience with producing engineering designs for low to medium voltage electrical distribution systems and instrumentation wiring; Experience with more than one type of system a plus
- Experience with NEC, UL508, electrical codes, and IES Lighting Handbook
- Proficiency or ability to learn load flow and/or arc flash analysis software such as ETAP and/or SKM Power Tools
- Proficiency or ability to learn lighting analysis software such as Visual and AGI32
- Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
Valued but required skills and experience:
- PE license
- DOE experience preferred; commercial or Navy
- Field Engineering and Construction Experience
