Job description: A Mechanical Designer position is currently available at Belcan in the Windsor CT area. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will have at least seven years of mechanical design experience in aerospace and an associate’s degree in a related field.Job Duties:
- Solid part modeling and drafting using CAD NX, Solidworks
- Complete tasks using customer standard work
- Create and present at customer design reviews
- Peer review completed deliverables of team members prior to submittal to customer
- Help address NX questions and act as an informal mentor to lesser experienced team members
- Work with Design Engineering to create Desing Layouts and perform very high-level tolerance studies in advance of detail drawing creation.
Required:
- At least seven years of experience as Mechanical Designer within Aerospace
- Associates degree Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design or similar degree
- Work with Design Engineering to create Design Layouts and perform very high-level tolerance studies in advance of detail drawing creation.
- Proficiency in NX CAD & Teamcenter software
- Ability to work within an integrated product development team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
- Due to the nature of the work, on-site presence is required
- Current secret clearance or ability and willingness to get secret clearance is required
Preferred:
- Secret Security Clearance
- Experience or familiarity with Model Based Definition (MBD)
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $72,800 to $93,600 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
