Responsible for capturing and analyzing data to develop reports for interdisciplinary committees and councils. Provides high-level administrative support to the Department of Nursing Professional and Clinical Development. Advanced Microsoft software skills are required, as well as organizational and communication skills.Supports the Mission of Frederick Health and complies with the Code of Conduct.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
A. A two-year college degree with healthcare experience preferred or a two-year college degree with a minimum of three years’ prior experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of medical terminology. Will consider work/life experience.
B. Advanced proficiency and accuracy in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and staff scheduling operations system.
C. Competent data analysis and interpretation skills, and ability to develop graphs, charts, or reports.
D. Creative ability to develop infographics and other visual communication products for both digital and print
E. Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills, both written and verbal.
F. Ability to work independently, prioritize deliverables and meet deadlines.
G. Excellent mathematical skills with a high degree of accuracy for statistical reports.
H. Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt and manage multiply tasks simultaneously.Must maintain excellent professional rapport with both internal and external customers of a diverse population.Reporting Relationship:
Reporting to: Director, Nursing Quality and Professional Practice.Essential Job Functions & Performance MeasureData analysis for Nursing Sensitive Indicators
- Assumes responsibility for and generates reports and graphs for nursing sensitive indicators
- Reviews Verge reports for falls and pressure ulcers, analyzing the data for dashboard
- Distributes accurate information in a timely manner to leadership of several departments
- Advises management of trends and outliers in data
- Updates monthly quality dashboards for nursing leadership
- Provides administrative support to Nursing Shared Governance, Nursing Professional and Clinical Development Department.
- Participates in the following meetings, produces agendas, minutes, reserves rooms, virtual meeting platform management, and communicates in a timely manner all documents for:
- Nursing Clinical Informatics and Technology Council
- Nursing Professional and Education Development Council
- Nursing Quality, EBP, Research Council
- Nurse Manager Council
- Clinical Leadership Team
- Orders supplies as needed from various venders for each department while tracking department specific budget
- Operates equipment such as photocopier, scanner, and fax machine
- Assists in the creation of department materials (i.e. Education, presentations, flyers, articles, infographics, videos)
- Assist with surveys to collect data via hospital survey platforms
- Maintains content on Nursing intranet website and unit TVs
Maintains staff scheduling system
- Accurately creates and inputs staff schedules for NPD
- Provides assistance to staff as needed and monitors attendance
- Makes daily changes to accurately reflect staff worked time and PTO requests
Special Events/Projects
- “Nurse of the Year” Celebration – provides yearly nomination packets for NPED, compiles results, writes nomination program announcements for emcee, assists with food, awards, and planning of program
- Nurses Week Gift – organizes and oversees distribution of gift to nursing supervisors
- Nurse Certification- maintains data base for tracking nurse certifications and assists with celebration events
- Graduation – maintains data base for recent nursing graduates, assists with food, decorations, and planning of graduation party
Performs other duties as assigned
- Assists with Nursing events as needed
- Assists CNS team with projects as directed
- Coordinates onboarding of non-nursing students (i.e. social work, EMS, Lab, Cardiac Rehab, HIM, etc)
- Collaborates with Executive Administrative Assistant for VP of Quality on Professional Development activities
