Delta team members take advantage of terrific opportunities to advance professionally in a supportive environment while enjoying a generous compensation and benefits package.WHO WE NEEDWe are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Assistant Engineer in the Electrical Group at our Endwell, NY office. This is an entry level position. The Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience. An EIT is preferred. Experience with REVIT is highly preferred.The primary duties include:
- Using methods recommended by senior project team members, perform work which involves conventional types of electrical plans, field investigations, and design.
- Is expected to try to solve engineering problems using experience, judgment and education, but is expected to ask for assistance when required.
- Be proficient in the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, Revit, and CADD. Become proficient in Group design software(s).
- Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, engineering documents, details, schedules or reports as assigned.
- Attend client meetings/presentations – daytime or evenings.
- Communicate with client representatives, contractors, suppliers, etc.
- Serve on field inspection teams to obtain and document existing conditions using field notes, sketches, and photography.
- Develop quantity take offs and construction cost estimates.
- Participate in site visits/inspections/documentation during construction
