Job description: DESE is seeking multiple skilled and innovative Electrical Engineers to join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and test electrical systems and components, with a particular emphasis on integrated circuitry and systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and components using CAD software.
- Conduct research and analysis to determine design feasibility, cost, and performance benefits.
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing, focusing on integrated circuitry, electrical enclosures, and value-engineering.
- Perform testing and validation of prototypes and final products to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical designs with overall product architecture.
- Identify and solve engineering problems by applying principles of electronics, electromagnetism, and control systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production process.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical design and development.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and manufacturing electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on integrated circuitry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and other engineering tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred, but not required.
