Job description: DescriptionThe Administrative Assistant II provides essential administrative support to the Victim/Witness Program of the Williams County State’s Attorney’s Office.Examples of DutiesThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents in this position. - Performs reception duties, such as answering incoming calls, responding to inquiries, and screening office visitors
- Coordinates and maintains calendars and schedules for Victim/Witness Program staff
- Coordinates travel and lodging arrangements for victims, witnesses, and staff; assists with reimbursement processing
- Researches and gathers information to create victim and witness folders
- Assists in providing transportation to victims and witnesses
- Orients victims to the Crime Victim Compensation Program and assists with the application process
- Remits weekly time records for all Victim/Witness staff to the Finance Department
- Maintains statistical information regarding victim/witness services and programs
- Prepares and submits quarterly and semi-annual reports in accordance with reporting requirements; assists in completing the annual VOCA grant application
- Provides additional assistance to victims and witnesses in the absence of Victim Advocates
- Performs office duties, such as data entry, filing, preparing documentation and correspondence, and processing mail
- Maintains current knowledge of the Victim/Witness Program
- Maintains a high level of discretion, tact, and confidentiality when working on highly sensitive subject matters and materials
- Professionally interacts with the public, law enforcement officers, attorneys, judges, court staff, and colleagues
- Maintains confidentiality of non-public records and makes available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code.
Typical Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED AND two (2) years clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must possess a valid North Dakota driver’s license or equivalent
- Must pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Supplemental InformationCompensation: Starting pay ranges from $23.05 to $25.36 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
