Job description: Job Title: Residential Construction -Development ManagerJob Overview: We are seeking an experienced Land Development Manager to lead the process of preparing residential land for construction. This role requires someone who is skilled in managing the entire development process, from working with engineers and surveyors to putting homes on lots. You will oversee all aspects of land preparation, plot planning, grading, and ensuring projects are ready for construction.Key Responsibilities:
- Land Development: Manage the process of preparing land for residential construction, including tree removal, grading, and plot planning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and surveyors to prepare land, ensure accurate plot plans, and manage elevation requirements.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the entire construction process from land development to home placement, ensuring quality and timely project completion.
- Blueprint Management: Review and manage blueprints, ensuring all aspects are followed correctly and efficiently.
- Stormwater Management: Ensure proper stormwater flow management to prevent potential drainage issues.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of professionals involved in the land development process, including surveyors, engineers, and construction crews.
- Technical Skills: Use Bluebeam and other software to manage project plans, review elevation requirements, and oversee construction drawings.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in land acquisition and residential development.
- Proven experience in plot planning, grading, and land preparation for residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of working with engineers, surveyors, and construction teams.
- Proficient in Bluebeam and other relevant software tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, manage stormwater flow, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
