The Why behind this position is supporting Red Hawk’s commitment to quality, innovation, and safety by developing functional and forward-thinking design solutions.Job ResponsibilitiesWorks with Managers to provide general oversight of projects assigned and fulfill the functions required to produce construction documents and material listings.
- Project Design & Strategy:
- Plan and execute a tailored design strategy for each project in collaboration with estimators, project managers, and design managers.
- Utilize AutoSprink CAD software to produce accurate permits, shop drawings, and hydraulic and seismic calculations for project compliance.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Oversee and produce all design documentation, including plans, permits, NICET reviews, and hydraulic calculations, ensuring alignment with Red Hawk’s design standards.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on designs, ensuring accuracy, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to RHFP standards.
- Project Coordination & Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other trades to align design elements and ensure seamless integration within the overall project.
- Submit plans to authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and customers, maintaining a timely schedule to meet critical project deadlines.
- Material Listing & Ordering:
- Compile material submittal data and generate accurate material listings for purchasing and fabrication, ensuring all orders align with project timelines and installation dates.
- Produce fabrication and material orders, giving the purchasing and shop teams adequate lead time.
- Scheduling & Project Management:
- Document and manage essential project dates, including pipe-on-job, sleeve insert, submittal, survey, and material listing dates.
- Coordinate with shop and field personnel to meet project schedules, ensuring timely material deliveries and installation readiness.

- Manage project schedules effectively to ensure design documents, materials, and schedules align, allowing for on-time project completion.

- Ensure that all material listings and orders are completed accurately and on time, supporting seamless project execution and reducing any delays in material availability.
- Collaborative Communication:
- Foster assertive communication and coordination with project teams and external trades, facilitating a smooth workflow and proactive problem-solving.
- Consistent Quality Control:
- Apply rigorous quality control measures to all design documents, reducing errors and ensuring that every design component meets Red Hawk’s standards for safety and compliance.
Working ConditionsExpected working hours and conditions are as follows:Monday – Friday 6:00am to 300pm in a professional office setting with normal working conditions and also time spent visiting construction sites.Physical RequirementsRepetitive tasks including, but not limited to:
- Typing
- Computer operation
- Sitting at a workstation or desk
- Telephone correspondence
- Ability to walk on uneven terrain at a job site, and possibly climb stairs or ladders
- Able to carry survey equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
