With connections to over 575 electrical contractors, we are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join one of our partner firms.Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects of varying size and complexity. The successful candidate will play a key role in the bidding process, collaborating with project teams to develop competitive proposals and secure new business opportunities.Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects.
- Analyze project requirements and scope to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support the estimating process.
- Prepare and submit bids and proposals in accordance with project deadlines and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address project specifications.
- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in electrical estimating.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
- Proficiency in electrical estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs and quantities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
