You will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of signaling systems for transit projects. This role requires a deep understanding of signal systems, transit operations, and project management. The Specialist will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure that signaling systems are operational and meet all safety and performance standards.Role accountabilities:
- Verifying that the track and signal systems’ installations, and modifications are performed in accordance with plans and/or specifications
- Perform all necessary track/signal inspections and test verification and witnessing.
- Oversee the performance of signal contractors performing installation of new signal systems and modifications to the existing signal system
- Review of signal activities in contractor’s monthly pay application.
- Support the development of monthly progress reports.
- Prepare daily inspection reports for the work performed in the field.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of signaling systems within the transit industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of signaling equipment, control systems, and communication protocols. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
