Job description: Position Overview: As a Wall Panel Designer you will utilize your design expertise and Mitek software proficiency to create precise and cost-effective wall panel designs for various construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into project plans, with a focus on optimizing material usage, cost-efficiency, and structural integrity.Key Responsibilities:
- Design wall panel systems for both residential and commercial projects using Mitek software, ensuring all designs meet engineering and construction standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop design solutions that meet client specifications, deadlines, and budgetary requirements.
- Review project blueprints and specifications to ensure designs are accurate and comply with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, schematics, and material specifications for manufacturing and installation.
- Utilize Mitek’s design tools to optimize wall panel layouts, improving efficiency and reducing material waste.
- Provide technical support during the installation and construction phases, addressing any design-related questions or issues that arise.
- Perform quality control checks on designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in wall panel design and construction to continuously improve the design process.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in wall panel design, structural design, or related fields, with a strong proficiency in Mitek software (MiTek SAPPHIRE, MiTek Blueprint or MiTek Panel Design Software).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Mitek software for wall panel design and structural analysis.
- Strong understanding of building codes, material properties, and structural requirements.
- Experience in designing for residential and commercial projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software (preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
