Job description: Job Summary:This position performs under the direction of the Clinical Director. Participates in total direct patient care in a team approach. The clinical assistant must have the ability to work therapeutically in a community of emotionally and/or chemical dependent patients. Primary responsibility including basic patient care and procedures. Observing patients and maintaining patient safety, assisting patients with activities of daily living, both physical and emotional, and with meeting team objectives. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Other duties and tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate clinically with staff within various roles.
- Demonstrate the willingness and ability to actively participate in helping achieve the objectives of the department; able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Demonstrated the ability to complete all required trainings and/or certifications and attend all required meetings.
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities; able to tolerate high stress situations/mental demands and make decisions that are ethically and legally sound.
Qualifications:Education/SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Work Experience:Two years’ experience in health care setting preferred.Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Valid Driver’s License and good Standing Driving Record
Additional Certification/Licensure – Obtained based on required timeframe below
- Basic Life Support
