As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will play a vital role in advancing our scientific understanding and technological innovations in the field of eye care.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research projects and/or in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including software, system engineering, mechanical design, and advanced research, focused on advancing eye care technologies.
- Design and implement experimental protocols, utilizing your strong hands-on skills to develop and improve prototypes for novel medical devices.
- Perform rigorous data analysis using advanced statistical methods and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Utilize analytical modeling techniques to simulate and optimize the mechanical behavior of ocular structures.
- Apply your expertise in animal tissue handling to develop and refine in vitro and in vivo models for preclinical testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired:
- Proven track record of research excellence
- Strong hands-on experimental skills, including expertise in prototyping experimental setups and data analysis
- Strong publication record demonstrating expertise in experimental design and data analysis
- Proficient in programming languages commonly used in scientific research (e.g., MATLAB, Python)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present research findings
Preferred:
- Proficiency in analytical modeling such as finite element analysis modeling, preferably in the context of eye structures, biomechanics, and/or human tissues
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship at the time of hire or in the future
- Experience working with animal tissue, including handling and processing
- Exposure to medical devices product design development
- Hands-on experience working in a start-up environment and/or companies
- Surgical ophthalmology experience either in Fluidics or Ultrasound
This job posting is anticipated to close on 12/20/2024. The Company may however extend this time-period, in which case the posting will remain available on to accept additional applications.The salary for this position is $100,000/year, this position is eligible for $5K sign-on bonus. This is a two year duration based role.The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs:
