SSVEC is dedicated to community growth, quality of life and a positive vision for the future.Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of IT Systems Support Specialist in our Willcox, AZ location.The IT Systems Support Specialist supports internal customers through the installation, training, and maintenance of computer hardware, computer software, network devices, telephones, printers and associated tasks.The essential functions listed below are general examples and not a description of comprehensive duties.
- Works as a team member to maintain a strong cyber security posture as specified by the Information Technology Manager.
- Maintain all end-user computing devices, internal wired and wireless networking equipment, communication equipment and cyber security operations.
- Ensures desktop computers, mobile computers and tablets connect with internet and network resources such as file servers, email servers, validation servers, administrative systems, Virtual Private Networks, and printing resources.
- Evaluate and resolve end-user system inconsistencies and bugs reported by users in a timely manner.
- Must support Technical Services and line crews in the field. This will require the wearing of PPE (FR clothing, hard hat and safety boots), which will be provided by the company.
- Responds to Radio Frequency Interference incidents and maintains good working relations with SSVEC’s membership while doing so.
- Responds to all service outages in assigned areas and assists the team during cyber security incident responses by assuming General Computing role.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field; or five years of directly related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CompTIA Security + required.
- Cisco and higher tier CompTIA certifications preferred.
- Arizona Driver’s License.
