The PM will to contribute to the creation of a Project Management Office (PMO), therefore must have experience establishing PMO infrastructure.Project Management:
- Oversee the lifecycle of concurrent projects to ensure they’re delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
- Lead strategic planning in developing project scopes and aligning stakeholders
- Coordinate resource allocation, both internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Product, R&D) and external third parties
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, budgets, executive status reports, change requests, etc.
- Execute project plans, delegate tasks, and track deliverables
- Control risk and change management; escalate obstacles and implement corrective actions
Program Management:
- Preside over the strategy and success of multiple connected projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Track the benefits that various projects provide by defining performance metrics, analyzing all projects, and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:Project Experience: Minimum 7 years overseeing IT projects or programs preference to experience in Federal agencies. Must have experience leading interdepartmental projects lasting 12+ months.PMO Experience: Leadership experience establishing PMO infrastructure in previous rolesIntegration Experience: Minimum 2 years employed at a Service Integrator (SI) serving Federal Clients on technical integration projects. Demonstrated ability to connect people and systems into a cohesive solution for the organization.IT Fundamentals: Basic understanding of networking technologies and computing infrastructure. This is demonstrated with certifications such as:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Azure Fundamental
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Communication: Ability to set detailed expectations with customers and those executing the project, but also lead executive level status meetings. Exceptional competence defining the management team’s big-picture initiatives and breaking it down into well-structured components and prioritized deliverables.Independence: Must demonstrate ability to prioritize PM workload among concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.Lean Process Improvement: Experience designing project management processes and best practices. Ability to analyze current processes, identify potential solutions, then implement improvements with trackable metrics to monitor outcomes. This can be demonstrated with certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Certification, etc.Security Clearance: Confidential or above preferredTravel: Minimal travel, around 15%. Travel is to project sites as needed to meet key stakeholders at project kickoff and/or training. Travel may also include occasional team meetings.
