This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the linear TV landscape, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end TV advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in TV media planning, buying, and trafficking, with specific experience in the pharma industry. The role requires availability during regular US business hours and offers flexible working conditions.Key Responsibilities:TV Planning:
- Develop comprehensive linear TV media plans that align with client objectives, budgets, and market conditions.
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences and optimal TV channels, including both traditional and connected TV/OTT platforms.
- Analyze historical data and current trends to forecast and optimize TV campaign performance.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand campaign goals, ensuring alignment with broader marketing strategies.
TV Buying:
- Negotiate with TV networks and vendors to secure the best rates and placements for pharma clients, with a focus on maximizing ROI.
- Manage and allocate budgets effectively across various TV channels, including cable, broadcast, and OTT networks.
- Monitor and adjust media buys to optimize campaign performance and achieve client objectives.
- Handle reconciliation tasks, such as verifying spot delivery and negotiating make-goods as needed.
TV Trafficking:
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of TV advertisements to networks, including managing clearance and approval processes.
- Coordinate with creative teams to obtain, review, and traffic ad materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to ad delivery, placement, or performance.
- Track and report on the performance of TV campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Director or VP-level experience in TV buying, planning, and trafficking.
- Mandatory experience in the pharma industry.
- Proven expertise in linear TV planning, buying, and negotiation with networks.
- Experience with traditional TV, cable, and broadcast networks, as well as knowledge of connected TV and OTT platforms.
- Strong relationships with TV networks and the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Deep understanding of the TV trafficking process, including standards and clearance approvals.
- Experience in reconciliation and finance aspects of TV buying.
- Ability to work independently, proactively solving problems and meeting deadlines.
- Availability during regular business hours for effective communication with networks.
Work Schedule and Location:
- The candidate must be US-based, with a preference for those in the Eastern Time Zone, due to the importance of marketplace knowledge and relationships with TV networks.
- The role requires availability during regular business hours, with flexibility for daytime communication.
- The position offers flexible working conditions but cannot be performed solely during evenings or nights.
