Job description: Job Title: Electrical Controls EngineerJob DescriptionEngineering of industrial manufacturing equipment including electrical system design, PLC/HMI programming, project management, and manufacturing support. Reports to the Engineering Manager.Daily duties:
- Create electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
- Assemble electrical system bill of materials
- Develop and implement control programs for industrial PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
- Meet established deadlines through successful project management and scheduling
- Support customers with machine troubleshooting
- Manage electrical department of 7 electricians, fabricators, and panel builders
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering team on design of machine functions and operations
- Support research and development projects
- Limited travel for installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer facilities
