The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training & Certification (AWS Tech U) team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced education programs technical trainer to implement a global, world class multi-level AWS technical education program to address the demand for skilled cloud IT professionals.In this role, with your passion for developing others, you will deliver a defined curriculum program for early-career technical hires on their journey to become skilled cloud IT professionals. This multi-modal training program (AWS Tech U) combines instructor led training, lab exercises, scenario-based project sprints, and more to develop and hone cloud based and professional developments skills. In this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, and it is expected that you will have the ability to work well with peers and learners.Key job responsibilities
- Utilize best practices in adult learning theory to facilitate interactive class discussions/activities, answer learner questions, and provide personalized guidance
- Provide continuous feedback on course materials to keep pace with the rapid evolution of cloud technologies and generative AI, incorporating learner feedback to enhance learning
- Collaborate with the Tech U team to review and refine training content, lesson plans, instructional video, and hands-on experiences
- Foster a strong sense of community among learners by encouraging collaboration, providing encouragement, and creating an inclusive learning environment
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex technical topics into clear, easy-to-understand terms
- Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS services and gererative AI advancements to maintain subject matter expertise
- Provide exceptional learner support, ensuring all learners receive the guidance they need to achieve their goals
- Administer LMS (Canvas) tasks such as schedule sessions, register learners and instructor resources
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years’ experience in a training role, preferably technical training for related cloud technology products and services
- 3+ years demonstrated understanding of Cloud and Distributed computing concepts
- Demonstrate a general understanding of various IT concepts (e.g. Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Security)
- Technical Degree (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems) or relevant work experience
- Must have excellent stand-up delivery and facilitation skills and strong “stage presence” that drive key learning outcomes and motivate application beyond the classroom.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification• Experience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content.
- Associate level certification or 2+ years of experience with one of the major cloud providers
- Demonstrated understanding of generative AI concepts
- Curiosity and passion around learning
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail – able to implement globally, and at scale
- Excellent oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and writing skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate and influence across boundaries
- Ability to travel (~30%)
