Job description: Supplemental InformationThis Administrative Coordinator 3 position is in our Licensure Division. This position provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Licensure Department and reports directly to the Director of Licensure. This includes but is not limited to: greets and directs visitors to appropriate destinations, creates and maintains a daily visitors log (ensures that all visitors to the agency sign in and out), maintains employee and department directories, studies and familiarizes self with all practice acts, rules and regulations and statutes for licensure disciplines regulated by the Board, answers questions from applicants and/or licensees through phone or personal contact regarding rules, regulations, application completion, required documents, document submission due dates, etc.

twarren@lsbme.la.govMinimum QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Two years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.SUBSTITUTIONS:Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience for a maximum of one year of the required experience.Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.NOTE:Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments. Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.Job ConceptsFunction of Work:

May be used by all state agencies.Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the presence of responsibility for clerical duties that involve greater scope and complexity, including initial program duties.Differs from Administrative Coordinator 4 by the absence of paraprofessional duties that involve a higher degree of specialization, complexity, and/or independent judgment.Examples of WorkProvides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Administrative Program Director 1 and the Director of Investigations. This includes screening telephone calls, greeting visitors, drafting and editing correspondence, answering routine inquiries, data entry, among other duties of a similar nature.Performs responsible, initial departmental-program duties in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies. May involve communication with other departments, customers, etc.Receives copies of annual renewal forms on all licensees that have indicated a “yes” answer to specific questions that could have an impact on renewal approval. Serves as direct contact person for other divisions, licensees, etc. inquiring about status of renewal “yes” answers.Performs research of internal computer records and/or hard copy files for previous negative reports of information on licensees.
