The Assistant Technical Designer will provide support to the Technical Design team including the development of Flex Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) packages, preparing samples for fittings, and maintaining fit sample approval reports to achieve well fitting, consistently sized garments that meet Lane Bryant brand standards.The impact you can haveÂHelp prepare technical specification packages with garment construction detailsMeasure garments, attend fit sessions and prepare fit session notes/ reportsProvide vendors with additional corrective action recommendations illustrated by photos, diagrams, and email communicationAct as the liaison for communication between Merchandising, Product Development, Design and Quality Control for the quality process and the resolution of issues and problemsOrganize and file fit samples/patterns for each collection/seasonReview customer feedback data and partner with Senior Technical Designer to implement corrective actionsWork with Sr. Technical Designer to compile weekly & quarterly reports of customer reviewsÂYou’ll bring to the roleÂA degree in Apparel Design, Technical Design or Fashion Design1-3 years of experience in Technical Design, Production, Design, Product Development, and/or Store OperationsBasic knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, basic grading, and vendor/factory communicationStrong working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Illustrator, Flex PLM experience preferredDetail oriented and deadline driven with strong with organizational skillsBenefits at KnitWell GroupÂYou will be eligible to receive a merchandise discount at select KnitWell Group brands, subject to each brand’s discount policies.Support for your individual development plus career mobility within our family of brands   ÂA culture of giving back – local volunteer opportunities, annual donation and volunteer match to eligible nonprofit organizations, and philanthropic activities to support our communities*  ÂMedical, dental, vision insurance & 401(K) retirement* ÂEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)ÂTime off – paid time off & holidays*ÂÂ*Any job offer will consider factors such your qualifications, relevant experience, and skills.
