RESPONSIBILITIES OF ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP INSTRUCTORResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Attend teacher training meetings.
- Attend regular professional development opportunities offered by the college.
- Provide effective instruction and facilitate student learning for the program.
- Follow course syllabi and lesson plans for the class
- Perform evaluations of student learning, using course objectives as guides.
- Mentor students, providing regular feedback on progress. The central goal of the program is student success. This includes completion of the program and successfully passing any required licensure or certification test, and placement in related employment.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS OF ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP INSTRUCTOR
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be a licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
- Demonstrate on-going continuing education in the electrical field
