The role of the Business Development Specialist – Hybrid Role is to reach out to eligible businesses, located within Chicago/N. Illinois, and educate them about the value of becoming a BBB Accredited Business before seeing them through the application process.Duties & Responsibilities: include the following, but are not limited to:Your role is essentially to get our business owners to decide on BBB Accreditation, either “yes” or “no.” Not all businesses can become accredited, and not all businesses should, so your role is to help business owners who should become accredited, become accredited! You are expected to reach out to 50-75 business owners per day to ensure that you are putting yourself in the best position possible to submit at least 12 BBB Accreditation applications per month. You will be using a mix of internal databases, your own self sourcing and/or manager provided leads to call. You are also expected to help represent BBB at local events as needed. You must be able to present to potential prospects the mission and vision of the BBB at these in-person events.An ideal candidate is a person who brings positive energy, is passionate about the BBB mission, and is focused on building strong relationships. We are looking for a self-motivated, success/money driven person who is looking to maximize their time and earning potential. Being a natural conversationalist who enjoys speaking with new people is key to this role.Qualifications:
