You will work within the Air & Missile Defense Software Department on the Patriot Information Coordination Central (ICC) Software Development Team. Patriot is the world’s pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently developing Patriot training software in support of new system capabilities. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern languages and computing platforms.What You Will Do
- Participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
- Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
- This position requires onsite presence and extensive interaction with other groups including Systems Design engineering and the Software Development Team.
- Light travel may be required.
- Off hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) occasionally may also be required.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of experience.
- Experience in Software Engineering.
- Experience with Ada Programming Language.
- Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.
- Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.
- Prior experience within Patriot software is highly desirable. Familiarity with Raytheon software development process is also helpful.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
