Job description: Job Title: BIM DesignerJob DescriptionCreate electrical drawings for facilities such as lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Perform basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing and construction cost estimating assistance. Perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional. As a fully experienced, competent design technician, direct the efforts of less-experienced BIM Technicians as needed. Perform other duties as needed. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm. Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.Skills & Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors in related field
- 1+ years of BIM Design and Drafting experience
- 1+ years working on low voltage electrical projects
- Proficient in Revit & AutoCAD
- Comfortable creating electrical drawings creation
- Strong understanding of system calculations
