But we all share one goal: to improve the world responsibly and safely.The incumbent will serve as an administrative assistant to the EVA & Environmental Physiology Lab (EEPL) and Exercise Physiology & Countermeasures (EPC) Lab at NASA Johnson Space Center. The principal reason for this position is to provide administrative support to flight, analog and ground research activities being conducted in these laboratories as well as support other laboratories within the Human Performance Wing. This position will support the EEPL and EPL, which conducts research and provides operational expertise in several technical disciplines to address health and performance risks for astronauts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
2. Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies and procedures.
3. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company.
4. Responsible for completing all assigned training.
5. Maintain purchasing log, prepares purchasing paperwork and forms, enters requisitions into Costpoint and tracks the status of procurements and subcontracts.
6. Maintain a KBR P-card and associated records for purchases in compliance with KBR and HHPC policies.
7. Ensure that both company and NASA procurement regulations are followed.
8. Prepare travel requests and expense reports.
9. Interact with NASA and company resources.
10. Maintain and audit employee training records.
11. Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for the laboratory and maintain quality records and documentation as ISO document custodian.
12. Maintain records, generate memos and correspondence.
13. Document actions and minutes of meetings as required.
14. Maintain and inventory property items including loaned equipment.
15. Initiate JSC NASA shipment and export control documentation.
16. Initiate PubPress and JSC export control processes for abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and reports.
17. Complete badging requests for visiting researchers, co-investigators and collaborators including foreign nationals.
18. Maintain shared crew and ground testing calendar for Human Performance Wing.
19. Track property and supplies stored in Human Performance Wing controlled storage.
20. Coordinate tours of the Human Performance Wing with KBR and SK management.
21. Uphold strict confidentiality.
22. Perform other duties as assigned.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:A High School diploma or equivalent or the equivalent number of years’ experience in lieu of a diploma plus a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the field. Experience with NASA policy and procedures is also required.
