Job description: Salary: $ 60,000.00We have partnered with a large engineering firm in the Fairfax, VA area to provide them with a Electrical Design Engineer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Electrical Design Engineer:#1. 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in designing single family, 3-story townhouses, 4-story townhouses and multi-family apartment buildings is required.#2. Proficient in AutoCAD MEP#3. Experience drafting in the skilled trades industry.Requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certification is advantageous.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is not mandatory but is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in designing electrical systems for single-family homes, 3-story townhouses, 4-story townhouses, and multi-family apartment buildings is required. Experience with small commercial projects such as tenant fit-outs, lounges, offices, and restaurants is beneficial.
- Proficiency in engineering software, such as AutoCAD MEP, is required. Familiarity with REVIT and COMCheck is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes.
- Understanding and application of concepts like voltage drop, conductor sizing, and harmonics.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, and demonstrates professional initiative.
- Capable of taking ownership of assignments and working effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Other Key Requirements:
- Candidate must live local to Fairfax, VA
- 100% onsite, in-office role. Hybrid remote/Office work schedule after the completion of 90 day Performance review.
- No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
