Job description: We are a Building Automation Systems specialty company with most of our work within the 495 corridor. We need control systems specialist to be responsible for start up of building automation systems at our commercial clients in this territory. If you have experience with Johnson Controls products you will move to the top of our list.Key Responsibilities
- Ability to conduct Point-to-Point commissioning of controls
o Verify the proper input or output signal is present at the controller (0-10vdc, 24vac, 4-zomA). Verifying
the end device is operating properly (actuator is modulating, relay energize/de-energize)
o Conduct point-to-point check out utilizing a digital voltmeter and basic electronic theory * Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.
- Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation. Includes coordination with sheet metal, piping and TAB contractor as well as
commissioning agent. * Develop software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements.
- Develops complex software programs, commissions and troubleshoots to ensure proper operations of the building control systems using Johnson Controls Software tools.
- Provides field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software including actual equipment location and configuration network layout and addressing, and sequence of operation.
- Responsible to report and handle problems and field conditions as part of job accountability
o Communicate any conditions, problems or potential issues with the rest of our team (Engineer, Management, etc.)
o Provide possible solutions to address all concerns, field conditions and problems
o Act on situations and resolve through to completion and to customers satisfactionQualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in installing and/or trouble shooting control systems. Johnson Controls preferred .
- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems (piping, duct work, and electrical) and understand troubleshooting methods.
- Experience working with DDC system software and excellent Microsoft program skills
- Set-up IT networks as it relates to DDC control systems
- Able to read blueprints and complete documentation and forms
- Ability to travel from site to site location
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, outside buildings, on roofs
- Ability to work in confined spaces and maneuver in cramped quarters.
- Must provide own hand tools required for commercial projects
