- Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
- Highly Desired Certificates from Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
- Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
- Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
- Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Job SummaryAssist in gaining and retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of residential and commercial cleaning and restoration services.Cleaning & Restoration Technician Responsibilities
- Effectively perform all restoration services the company offers (Carpet & Floor Cleaning; Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration).
(Note: Compensation levels will reflect the skill level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as the ability to perform water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate) * Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
- Communicate effectively with customers.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Inspect completed work.
- Complete the technician’s daily log.
- Complete Work Orders.
- Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
- Maintain inventory of related supplies.
- Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
- Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
The chosen applicant will be the first employee of Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Houston and will be trusted to be a self-starter with little oversight.
