• Provide technical advice and assistance to users in utilizing automated data systems and the associated automated data processing equipment (ADPE).
• Identify hardware versus software problems and performs the required corrective action.
• Serve as the first line technical troubleshooter on the maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems on personal computers.
• Serve as system administrator on various Medical Systems such as Dictaphone, Power scribe, DINPACS, DMHRSI, EASIV, Sensatronics and EasyID.
• Perform highly technical computer systems administration and customer support tasks where state-of-the-art and technology is rapidly changing.
• Responsible for applying IT expertise and includes feasibility, technical evaluation, justification, acquisition/procurement, installation, implementation, management, and administration of IT systems.
• Provide guidance and direction to lower-graded IT personnel and other functional specialist in accomplishing the work.
• Install, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair personal computer hardware components resolving hardware/software interface problems and communication difficulties between components.
• Conduct one on one training on word processing, E-mail, and general desktop software procedures as directed and planned byimmediate supervisor.
• Work is performed in a complex IT network environment and involves support to multiple logistical sites.
• Assist users in configuring standard and unique software packages to meet specific needs. Re-images customer workstations as needed and resolves complex problems.

• This position requires a SECRET security clearance. The incumbent must remain eligible for the required clearance at all times while serving in this position.
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain required certifications in accordance with Department of Defense Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workshop Improvement Program within 6 months of entry into the position.
• This position requires appropriate Computing Environment (CE) certification(s) as detailed in the Information Assurance (IA) Training and Certification Best Business Practice (BBP) within 6 months of appointment.
• This position may require incumbent to work outside normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. 15%
