Packages, stores, pulls, and ships completed units and raw material for delivery to customers and other AE sites. Interfaces with other departments and freight carriers regularly. Performs receiving duties.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Packages finished goods, repaired units, and raw material according to specification and ensures they are shipped in a timely manner.
- Ensures materials are received in daily, both physically and electronically in SAP.
- Inspects received goods against invoice noting discrepancies or damage.
- Ensures data accuracy and compliance to AESDirect.
- Lifts heavy items.
- Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.
- Ensures materials are prepared and shipped as per production/repair schedule.
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Performs all necessary electronic transactions in SAP, freight carrier systems, and government agency websites.
- Orders packaging material as needed.
- Interfaces with Sales, Planning, and other areas to ensure needs are met and to help resolve problems.
- Interfaces with freight carriers to schedule pick-ups, track shipments, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:Geneva, OHPrimarily works in a shipping/warehouse area which is fast-paced and may be noisy and fast paced.Regularly required to perform heavy lifting.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn new software applications.
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to respond quickly and professionally to changing requirements.
- Ability to work on a team and focus on satisfying customer needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
- Ability to multi-task and perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of one year of experience in shipping is required.
- Experience using SAP is preferred.
- Experience utilizing carrier computer systems.
- Receiving experience is desirable.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
COMPENSATION:As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
