We are looking for a dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team.Job Summary: As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems. This includes but is not limited to cabling, security systems, audio/visual systems, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.Responsibilities and Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and audio/visual systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on various low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine installation procedures.
- Test and inspect installed systems to ensure they meet manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in low voltage work.
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
