We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Center and Program Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I) in the Department of Finance in the College of Business and Economics. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.Under the general supervision of the Department of Finance Chair and center/program directors, the Center and Program Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I) will provide administrative support for various tasks related to the center and programs. Serves as the office lead for center and programs offices and manages hiring, training, and supervising of student workers. This individual will be responsible for preparing paperwork for expenditures and communicating with students and sponsors. Will handle the financial part of processing center and program paperwork (expense requests, purchase orders, travel requests, and similar documents). Will maintain the student database, reserve venues and rooms for events, order supplies and food for events, attend student events, and coordinate marketing efforts for the centers (flyers, communications, social media, etc.). Maintain the center and program websites as appropriate, and post to LinkedIn, Instagram, discord, email blasts (and other similar sites). Other duties as assigned.Essential QualificationsHigh School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Mail merge or similar proficiency. Ability to create engaging marketing materials.
