Apply today and design the career you deserve!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this role, you will be responsible for creating bid proposals for construction projects, including reviewing plans and related data, preparing estimates, and ensuring accuracy through plan checks. You will also handle the preparation of necessary documentation for submission to the Central Office, review proposals with the Central Office, and attend pre-bid conferences as needed. Additionally, maintaining a “special provision library,” conducting preliminary estimates, and staying updated on construction procedures through field trips will be essential. Furthermore, you will prepare designs and review various highway and bridge projects, including field views for maintenance resurfacing projects, using CADD tools for project design, developing roadway and traffic control plans, and determining work quantities needed for project completion.Interested in learning more? - Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successfully completing the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Montoursville.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Highway Draftsman- Designer; or
- Three years of professional experience in highway design work including six months of CADD operation, and an Associate’s Degree in civil engineering, drafting, or design technology; or
- One year of professional experience in highway design work including six months involved CADD operation, and a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, or a closely related field; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
