Job description: Do you have a passion for automation and a knack for data?Selectek has an 12-month engagement (likely extensions) for a talented Commissioning Automation Specialist to join a team in Houston, TX and play a key role in developing innovative data-driven solutions. You’ll leverage your expertise in network communications and control systems protocols to design and implement pilot systems for data collection and analysis.What you’ll do:
- Design and deploy pilot systems for gathering and analyzing data.
- Integrate data sources from field equipment and data historians like PI.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless system operation.
- Troubleshoot any technical challenges that may arise.
What you bring to the table:
- 5+ years of experience in automation commissioning.
- In-depth knowledge of GE PAC PLCs, Omni, and ABB Spirit (Flow-X) flow computers.
- Experience with software installation, upgrades, and licensing (a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
