Reporting directly to the Senior Design Manager, this role requires a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking to develop designs that resonate with our customers while meeting sales and margin targets. With a focus on market research and collaboration across departments, the Senior Designer plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and maintaining brand integrity.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design: Collaborate closely with the Senior Design Manager to develop innovative concepts aligned with sales objectives and brand identity.
- Trend and Market Knowledge: Conduct thorough global and domestic research to identify emerging trends and integrate them into product lines. Attend industry events to stay informed and analyze market dynamics.
- Fabric, Trim, and Color Development: Select materials, trims and accessories that inspire fresh design concepts while meeting quality standards.
- Technical Skills: Translate creative concepts into precise technical flats and oversee prototype fittings to maintain design integrity.
- Leadership: Mentor junior team members, manage team’s workflow, and foster cross-functional partnerships to streamline the design process.
- Communication: Effectively articulate creative vision from concept to finished product and present designs to merchandising for consideration.
- Business Analytics: Analyze sales data and competitor offerings to inform design decisions.
- Quality: Collaborate with Product Development to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
