This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.Union or Union management experience is strongly preferred.Position comes with a very competitive pay and benefits package including (per diem, stipends, bonuses, ESOP, vacation, holidays, sick time, 401k match, etc..)Responsible for ensuring that the daily project execution is in line with the Black & Veatch National Maintenance and Project Labor Union Agreements. Responsible for understanding all Local Union agreements for the project. Responsible for establishing a working relationship with the Local Union BA and the Local Union Site Job Steward. Responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted workflow at union interface points. Has ability and expertise to stand in for the construction manager during absence from site if requested. Has ability to comprehend overall project schedule with regards to requirements of other disciplines or subcontractors requirements. May have responsibility for safety and quality requirements on site if required. Has ability and responsibility to mentor and train other discipline superintendents. Is capable of recommending training and development needs for the trainees. Could be designated as Lead Discipline Superintendents responsible for duties as assigned.#LI-JH1Key Responsibilities
- Position will be an onsite field position for managing from 50-150 direct hire electricians on a large industrial/power project in North America
- Once on the project site, the position will require the superintendent to be in the field approximately 80% of the time.
- Familiar with information required for industrial construction (one lines, cable tray drawings, AG/UG conduit drawings, raceway schedules, cable schedules, termination schematic drawings)
- Ability to adapt to company safety rules/regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to determine installation quantities and durations for below and above ground electrical installation.
- Proficient at managing the following scope- UG duct bank installation, conduit/raceway installation, cable pulling, terminations. Commissioning experience a plus, but not required.
- Union experience preferred, but not required.
- Position could require an office role before mobilization to pre-plan schedule, install rates, durations, ordering equipment and tools.
- Ability to work with other discipline superintendents in a collaborative manner for optimum safety, quality and schedule metrics.

Minimum Qualifications11+ years experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on equivalent projects . Valid Driver’s License. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.CertificationsOSHA 10 certification.Work Environment/Physical DemandsPhysical Demands:
- Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
- See and hear naturally or with correction.
- Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.
