Job description: Fire Alarm System DesignerWe are partnered with an established fire protection and life safety system company who are actively looking to add a proven Fire Alarm Designer to their growing team!Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED, and a technical school degree with emphasis on drafting and math
- Minimum of 5 years alarm drafting experience
- Preferred 10 years fire alarm and fire suppression design
- AutoCAD training with solid understanding of drafting techniques engineering terminology
- 3+ years related design drafting experience.
- Understanding and knowledge of NFPA codes & standards
- Understanding and knowledge of Fire Alarm or fire suppression systems
Responsibilities:
- Independently reviews and validates information required to create drawings according to specifications and standard procedures
- Independently prepares application drawings for Fike’s systems
- Reviews and checks drawings prepared by others
- Maintains drawing database, service request report, and drawing files
- Provides document support for Test Procedure Information (TPI)
